New Chapter

Try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead let life live through you. And do not worry that your life is turning upside down. How do you know that the side you are used to is better than the one to come? Rumi

I’m really hoping that our lives continue to be just as great and better than the ones that we’ve been accustomed to over the last 2+ years.

If you are new to this blog or Youtube Channel, you may not know that my husband and I have been travelling full-time in our van and 18 foot travel trailer after selling our house and giving away most of our worldly possessions. We’ve been blessed to travel from Baja, Mexico to Alaska, across Canada, down the Pacific Coast and throughout the United States. We’ve met some amazing people, seen some breathtaking scenery and wildlife, and have had some incredible experiences.

As great as the last two years have been, it’s time to move on. During our last trip home we sold both the van and trailer and boarded a plane for Brazil. This next chapter of our lives will take us to South America and Europe until the year 2024 sprinkled with a few trips home for various occasions.

These next two years will be very different as we continue to explore other parts of the world without a “home”, not even one on wheels. We’ll be living out of our suitcases, renting Airbnbs, and travelling by planes, trains, Ubers, and the occasional E-bikes.

Last night, I asked Brent if he had any trepidation about our future and he definitively said none. Instead, he has a sense of relief every time an RV advertisement comes across his Youtube feed. I on the other hand have had to calm down in moments of panic. Brent is more of a risk-taker than me. Don’t get me wrong. I like and crave change. After all, I am a Sagittarius. I can get restless quickly and need to move on, but usually not without a detailed plan or at least a sketch of an outline which is becoming the norm these days.

I’m learning not to resist the change. I’m letting life live through me. I’m letting life turn upside down and I’m letting my dreams scare me - just a little.

Thanks for joining us on our next journey.
